I've been having guitar lessons with Alex for almost a year and can't recommend enough! Incredibly patient, flexible with whatever you want to learn and extremely knowledgeable

Alex is an amazing teacher! He's always very prepared, he's engaging and provides the right amount of stimulation and challenge for my 6 year old son. My son has grown in confidence and independence, after just two lessons! I would definitely recommend.

Alex is a fantastic teacher. He really listened to my goals in guitar and structured unique lessons around them. As a student mainly interested in fingerstyle music and classical, my ambitions are a bit strange and all over the place. But Alex has always found relevant pieces and songs to help me learn a range of new techniques and improve my sight reading (something I really wanted to learn but struggled with on guitar in the past). I would definitely recommend his lessons. He's super patient, encouraging and optimistic. We progress at a really good pace, and I am amazed at how much I have advanced with him over just a few lessons.

I was previously learning to play the Ukulele using online videos and, yes, within reason, managed to learn some chords and strumming rhythms. But as with all self teaching there comes a time when you need to interact with someone else and get direct feedback. After only two lessons with Alex I am already streets ahead and am now playing an actual song that sounds pretty darn good! Alex’s teaching style is extremely supportive and positive. He pays strong attention to what you are doing and quickly identifies weaknesses and by concentrating on them turns them into strengths. He is full of praise and I am left with a feeling of accomplishment. If you are looking for a teacher then I thoroughly recommend Alex.
