Literature is all about life in written form. The lessons will be student-activated lessons where the students would be able to relate the stories with real-life experiences and happenings that would aid in easy understanding. Stories relating to the text would be told to capture the student's attention and make the class more lively. Active demonstrations would also be added to connect the student to the characters in the stories.
Literature lessons would be more interesting if they last longer than 1 hour.
I have taught literature-in-English professionally for 2 years and have also tutored high schoolers and undergraduates for almost 3 years.
Literature cuts across all grade learners and can be taken by children from the ages of 12 and above, in classes ranging from JSS 1 (Year 7) to the undergraduates level.
