About Elizabeth
My name is Eliza Martin, and I have over 15 years of experience working with children in active, student-centered learning environments. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Montessori Elementary Education with a Minor in Theatre from Xavier University in 2010, and I am licensed in the state of Ohio to teach grades PK–3. In addition to my classroom experience, I served as the Managing Director at Huntington Learning Center, where I worked with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Alongside teaching core academic subjects, I also provided ACT and SAT prep for high school students. My background reflects a strong commitment to supporting students of all ages and academic levels.

I am available for summer tutoring beginning on June 2, 2025. I am available either online or in-person at the Pickerington Public Library. Specific Tutoring Areas: 2 yrs-5 yrs (30 mins - 1 hour at a time) Foundational math & phonics skills Fine-motor skills Visual discrimination skills PK-3rd grade (1- 2 hours at a time) All subject areas - heavy focuses on phonics and math 4th-8th grade (2 hours at a time) ELA - grammar, writing, reading comprehension Remedial math skills (up to 5th grade math) Study skills 9th-12th grade (2 hours at a time) ELA - grammar, writing, reading comprehension Study skills ACT - English & reading (student must provide their own book) SAT - reading & writing (student must provide their own book) College admissions essays LinkedIn Profile: (concealed information)
