About Adil
I am Dr. Adil Elshiekh Abdalla from Sudan. Currently I reside in Malaysia
My Academic qualifications are as follows:
1- Ph.D. Applied Linguistics Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya, Malaysia
2- Postgraduate Diploma Human Sciences. International Islamic University, Malaysia
3- M. A Teaching Arabic for non-Arabic Speakers, Khartoum, International Institute for Arabic, Sudan
4 - B. A in Arabic Language and Literature Cairo University, Khartoum, Branch, Sudan
I worked with Sultan Sharif Ali University in Brunei ((concealed information) as a senior Assistant Professor in the Faculty of the Arabic language from 23. July 20210 till July 22. 2022 Before this, I worked at Al Madinah International University in Malaysia ((concealed information) as a senior lecturer and was the university's founding director of the Centre of Languages. Previously I was an Assistant Professor in the Arabic Department of the International Islamic University of Malaysia ((concealed information) and Darul Ridzuan Islamic College, renamed Sultan Azlan Shah University ((concealed information) In those two positions, I was responsible for teaching linguistics. I joined the International Islamic University in 1990 as a lecturer in the Division of the Quranic Languages, teaching Arabic to non - Arabic speakers.
I am an experienced lecturer both as an instructor to non-Arabic speaking students and advanced postgraduate students in Arabic. I have published several articles in international journals in Arabic and English research. I have posted a book in the International Islamic University research centre. I attended several International Conferences.
I am familiar with and firmly believe in incorporating IT into learning; I have attended several courses on Information Technology at the University of Malaya and published many articles on IT and language education. In my previous institution, a virtual institution, I participated in designing ALIMS (Advanced Learning Management System) of Al-Madinah International University, preparing the educational requirement system, and testing the system's quality. I have developed online Arabic courses at this university and created many courseware for teaching online. I have also developed the MPAT (Mediu online Arabic Placement Test). Although I am a native speaker of Arabic, my PhD was written in English. My work at the International Islamic University, Malaysia, and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei involved daily use of English, thus demonstrating my working knowledge of this language.
