About Miranda
Hello! My name is Miranda, and I am a New York State-certified Visual Arts teacher with a BFA in Illustration and an MA in Teaching from the School of Visual Arts (SVA).
I have over 10 years of experience teaching students from kindergarten through adulthood in schools, art programs, and private lessons. My expertise includes drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art, mixed media, and portfolio preparation for AP Art and college admissions.
I create engaging, personalized lessons that help students build technical skills, confidence, and creativity. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I am committed to helping you achieve your artistic goals in a supportive and professional learning environment.

As a certified K–12 art teacher with a BFA in Illustration and an MA in Teaching from the School of Visual Arts (SVA), I tailor lessons to each student's interests, skill level, and goals.
My teaching combines technical skill-building with creative exploration through drawing, painting, digital art, ceramics, and mixed media.
A typical lesson includes demonstrations, guided practice, and personalized feedback. I work with children, teens, adults, AP Art students, and college portfolio applicants, helping each student build confidence and develop their unique artistic voice.
