About Elena
I am a native Italian speaker based in London with experience teaching Italian to foreign students of different levels. I have supported learners in developing their confidence in speaking, improving their overall language skills, and successfully preparing for Italian language exams.
My background in education, combined with my professional experience as an Operations Manager, has helped me develop strong communication, organisation, and teaching skills. My approach to teaching Italian is practical, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence in speaking from the very beginning, while also strengthening grammar, listening, and writing skills in a balanced way. I like to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning naturally.
I use a communicative method, combining conversation practice with real-life situations, cultural references, and engaging materials such as films, articles, and everyday dialogues. This helps students not only learn the language, but also understand Italian culture and how the language is used in real contexts.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but this can be adapted depending on the student’s goals and availability.
My lessons are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students, and for learners of all ages who want to improve their Italian for travel, work, study, or personal interest.
