About Laurencia
Hello! My name is Laurencia, and I am a passionate educator with international teaching experience in South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, and China. Over the years, I have taught students from kindergarten through high school and have worked as a classroom teacher, Head of Department, and homeschool educator.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy because I love helping students build confidence and discover that they are capable of more than they think. I understand that every learner is different, which is why I take a patient, encouraging, and personalised approach to teaching.
As both a teacher and a homeschooling parent, I understand the challenges students and families can face. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing new skills, and reaching their academic goals.
I look forward to helping learners grow in confidence and achieve success in their studies

I am an experienced international teacher with several years of experience teaching learners from kindergarten through high school. I have taught English, AP English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Art, and have also served as a Grade 3 and Grade 4 Head of Department.
My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I provide support in English, reading, writing, comprehension, homework assistance, study skills, and homeschool education. I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and confidence-building, especially for students who may be struggling or need extra support.
I currently work with primary and secondary students and can assist with schoolwork, exam preparation, reading fluency, writing development, and overall academic confidence. My goal is to help students make steady progress while enjoying the learning process in a supportive environment.

If you're looking for an ESL tutor who genuinely cares about your progress, I would highly recommend Laurencia. She combines professionalism and knowledge with a warm, friendly personality that immediately makes you feel comfortable.
What impressed me most is her patience and ability to adapt her teaching to the person she is working with. She doesn't simply teach English — she builds confidence, encourages you to participate, and creates an environment where learning feels enjoyable rather than intimidating.
Laurencia is the kind of tutor who puts real effort into helping her students succeed, and her dedication is evident in the way she communicates and teaches. Whether you're looking to improve your speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or simply become more confident using English, I would absolutely recommend giving her lessons a try.
If you're considering booking a lesson with Laurencia, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She is an excellent tutor and someone who genuinely wants to see her students improve.View more recommendations
