About Adriaan
I am a very experienced tutor at a homework institute in Amsterdam. During my time as a tutor I have built up extensive experience with a wide variety of students, ranging from students with ADD or Asperger to students who have a problem with their motivation or confidence.
I am currently enrolled as a master student in the field of Economics. After obtaining my Dutch gymnasium diploma I have always remained very interested in the exact subjects, especially in physics. In my free time I enjoy making and listening to music, watching movies and spending time with animals.

I have a very hands-on approach to teaching: through practice I will help you build confidence in your own abilities to solve problems. Who knows, if you start believing in yourself you might actually start to like the subject!
We usually start off with a review of the theory, to see which concepts you get and which you do not yet understand. After that, we will solve exercises together. In the beginning I might demonstrate a few exercises, but the goal of every lesson is for it to end with you being completely able to solve them on your own.
I also spend a lot of attention to gaps in your understanding of basic math. Most deficits are a result of bad education in the long term, especially deficits in math. Together we can practice concepts such as fractions.

Perfect! Adriaan is a fantastic tutor with exceptional teaching skills. He makes a very deep connection with the student and changes his teaching style as per the requirement. He is very innovative with his coaching methodology and ensures that the student fully understands the subject. He has outstanding knowledge and clarity of the subjects he teaches. Adriaan has been teaching my son for the last 3 years and my son is very happy with him. He has been able to help him in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths and my son's performance has exceeded with his tutoring. My son would not allow me to look for any other tutor other than him. Ik ben een psychologie student aan de Radboud en heb 4 jaar bijles gehad van adriaan.
Hij heeft me geholpen met de wiskunde toets om de universiteit in te komen en daarna met statistiek 1,2, data analyse en me zelfs advies gegeven gedurende research projects.
Hoewel statistiek en analyses echt compleet niet mijn ding zijn heb ik voor alles een voldoende gehaald!
Adriaan heeft veel kennis over analyses door zijn achtergrond als econoom en heeft een talent voor het versimpelen van complexe stof door middel van begrijpbare voorbeelden.
Daarbij is ook nog eens gezellig desondanks de stof.
Adriaan is echt een topper en hopelijk maakt hij statistiek ook dragelijk voor jou!
