About Paul
I am experienced in teaching guitar and bass guitar to both children and adults, working with all levels of musician, from absolute beginner to advanced players.
I am happy to travel to students houses, as well as delivering online lessons.
I've been playing the guitar since I was 6 (which means by my calculations I've got over 30 years experience of playing the guitar and I've been gigging, recording and performing for over 20 years).

I always allocate a portion of the first session to understanding what the students wants from the sessions - the biggest reason I find people don't progress with their instrument is they don't have fun. My lessons focus on learning songs the student wants to play, helping to embed the skills and techniques to make them the best player they can be.
For parents who want to see if their child is interested in playing the guitar, I am happy to supply a guitar for the first lesson or two to see how they get on, although an instrument of their own is essential after a couple of weeks to allow them to practice.
I hold a full enhanced DBS certificate and am certified in a number of different areas of learning design and delivery, including training from ABRSM as a music teacher. I am also a member of the Musicians Union.
