About Destinee
I am a staff member at the University of North Texas where I focus on web building, copy writing, and teaching students, faculty, and staff. Outside of my normal role, I also am graduating with my Master's Degree in English this semester.
During my graduate degree, I have had the priveledge to tutor students in English and teach multiple classes on various literature-based topics. I have experience in lesson planning and one-on-one relationship building that will help me connect with my clients. I am very flexible and want to do what is best for my clients to make them better writers, critical thinkers, and students as they continue their education.

As an English tutor, I focus on not just the writing as an end result, but the writer's development– their cultivation of ideas, their tools and skillsets, and the agency that they build as they engage with their peers. By focusing on a student's holistic needs, I plan to focus on accessibility and inclusion in my sessions by setting clear expectations and being flexible to accommodate students' needs.
With my Master's in English and experience in tutoring and lesson planning, I am willing to create lesson plans for core subjects and materials, or to work through essays, articles, creative writing assignments, or other homework as needed.
I have experience tutoring Middle School kids through College students at the graduate level and can be flexible in my teaching methods, focusing more on a holistic approach.
