About Irma
I am a German-Mexican teacher with extensive experience teaching German as a foreign language. I obtained my German teaching certification in 2010 and have taught students of different ages and levels in a variety of educational settings. In Mexico, I worked for more than 10 years at the Goethe-Institut, in addition to teaching at other institutions. In Berlin, I currently work for a language school.
I also have experience teaching teenagers between the ages of 10 and 16 in secondary schools, as well as preparing students who are planning to move to Germany. My teaching experience includes developing students’ practical communication skills and adapting lessons to their individual needs and goals.

I teach via Zoom and use textbooks such as Klasse, Momente, or Aspekte as a guide, depending on the student’s level. In my lessons, we work on all four language skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading, with a strong emphasis on speaking and vocabulary. After each lesson, students receive personalized exercises to reinforce what they have learned and continue practicing independently. I teach from A1 - C2
