About Jay
I have taught Media and Film Studies to hundreds of students over the past 5 years, I have taught in some of the best private and state schools/colleges in England. I have practical experience as a filmmaker and I continue to work in the Media industry as a director and editor. I have a lot of practical experience when I ran a video production company after completing my film degree. My passion for Media Studies lies both in the theory as much as it does the practical, I enjoy deconstructing and analysing the media landscape. I currently work as a freelance editor, collaborating with organizations like the ESMAP, WHO, and UKAid.

You learn best when you feel excited to learn. My teaching is driven by a desire to foster a love of learning within students. I am enthusiastic about my subject and I want to encourage my students to feel the same so they can achieve their best. I have high standards and expectations and I make my lessons dynamic. I have been teaching for 5 years, but I also have a lot of practical industry experience, I harness this to support the learning of my students. I believe that you learn best by doing, so I expect students to be proactive and engaged. I have a wealth of excellent practical and theoretical resources that I can share with you.
