About Serina
Hi! I'm Serina, a Computer Science student at Nottingham Trent University with over two years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths. I enjoy helping students develop confidence and realise that maths doesn't have to be intimidating.
I teach Maths because I genuinely enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple, easy-to-understand steps. My lessons are patient, supportive and tailored to each student's learning style, whether they're aiming to pass their exams, improve their grades or achieve the highest marks. My goal is to help every student feel more confident in their abilities and leave each lesson with a stronger understanding of the subject.

My lessons are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of GCSE and AS Level Maths, and achieve their academic goals. Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, whether they are aiming to improve their overall understanding, prepare for exams, or boost their predicted grade.
I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I break down difficult topics into clear, manageable steps, using worked examples and guided practice to ensure each concept is fully understood before moving on.
Lessons include exam-style questions, revision techniques, and regular feedback to help students identify areas for improvement and track their progress. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop confidence and problem-solving skills that students can apply independently in their exams.
