About Jessica
Hello! My name is Jessica Edward, and I am currently studying for my degree at the University of Nottingham. Having recently completed the new specification GCSE and A-Level exams, I am well-versed in the content and effective problem-solving strategies. From my own experience, schools often tailor their teaching to the average student, but every learner is unique and benefits from different approaches. I take a personalised, one-on-one approach to tutoring, adapting to each student’s needs and learning style. With a bubbly and approachable personality, I work well with students of all ages, which has allowed me to tutor successfully for over five years. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students build confidence and reach their full potential.

With over five years of experience as a Maths tutor at two reputable tutoring firms, I have worked both online and in person, supporting students from KS3, GCSE to A-Level. My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, focusing on problem-solving, exam techniques and time management, with the main priority being the student and boosting their confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, ensuring they grasp concepts thoroughly before moving forward. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Currently pursuing a Mathematics degree, I have extensive experience working with students of all abilities, helping them achieve their academic goals and having the added benefit of having done the new specification exams which will help me connect more with my student.
