About Richard
An enthusiastic, mature, patient and friendly native-speaking tutor who always analyses exactly what students need to achieve their immediate goals. If you are motivated to improve, I am just as passionate about being the catalyst. One of the reasons I love teaching IELTS, is that students are nearly always motivated to get where they need to go, whether that is working in an English speaking country or starting a degree at university. Giving a student the skills and direction to fulfil their dreams is a fantastic feeling.
I have over 13 years' teaching experience both face-to-face and online, and spent 10 years' teaching in Russia, where my clients included businessmen, doctors, scientists, teachers and young pupils in primary school. I have a wealth of experience in general English, business English, English for special purposes and a wide variety of Cambridge exams. I specialise in helping students get the band score they require in the IELTS exam. I believe my experience of living and working in Russia in addition to my knowledge of the language would be especially useful to any Russian speaker. However, I teach and have helped nationalities from all over the world. I am currently employed in a private language school in London.
