About Samuel
I am French Native with a clinical background in different specialities (cardiovascular, respiratory, gastroenterology, Kidney Transplant and Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial, ophthalmology, Interventional Radiology and Research). I have two children and the experience of the national curriculum. I am graduated from BCU with a Nursing Degree and I had the occasion at many times to play the role of an interpreter in French for doctors with more technical and complex terminology. I have been teaching for the last 5 years to different people with different needs. Some of them were a couple with the wish of retiring in France and then who had the desire of learning French, another one was a university undergraduate student in International Management and Business Administration with French, which I also helped with her curriculum and assignments. I am also holding a 2nd Dan or Degree Black Belt and a National level 2 coaching in Jujitsu. I have got the experience and pedagogy of teaching children and adults through Jujitsu classes and Women self-defence classes.

I will firstly assess the level of my student, and adapt the lessons to his actual and current needs and level. I will be using a variety of methods such as: audio, video, exercises, papers, debates. I finish by giving some homework which I review with the student in the following session.

Samuel was a fantastic tutor who helped me achieve a high mark of 72 in my final year university french oral exam. We had several lessons to develop a plan for my exam which included work on vocab, french culture, grammar, developing complex sentence structures and much more. Thank you Samuel!
Samuel is very reliable, easy to work with and has some great ideas to make learning French fun. We have been able to continue our lessons through lockdown.

Samuel has been tutoring me for 3 years, since I was in year 7. He explains the things I do not understand in a very good way, meaning that I will later understand it. Also, his lessons are very interactive and they do not make me bored. Samuel is very patient and makes sure you understand the things he is teaching you. If you are struggling, you can ask him and he will explain it with no problem. He is a great tutor and I will continue to improve my French with him.
