About Mafalda
I am a CGMA-qualified accountant with over three years of progressive experience in finance, currently working as a Financial Accountant at a fast-growing SaaS company in Dublin. My career has taken me from Accounts Assistant through to Financial Accountant, giving me a well-rounded, hands-on understanding of accounting and finance at every level.
I hold an MSc in Business Management from Dublin City University and completed my CIMA qualification in January 2025, so I understand firsthand the dedication and hard work that professional accounting exams demand.
Having lived and worked in Dublin for over ten years, I have built my career across multiple industries. I am fluent in English and Portuguese, and also speak Spanish professionally. Beyond core accounting, I have a strong interest in workflow automation and ERP systems, with hands-on experience across various platforms, knowledge I find invaluable in today's technology-driven finance environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, running, baking, and photography — and I previously ran my own food blog, which gave me a great appreciation for the discipline and organization that comes with managing your own projects.
I am passionate about sharing practical, real-world knowledge with those working towards their CIMA qualification or looking to strengthen their finance skills on the job. I look forward to helping you build confidence and clarity in your studies.

Teaching methodology:
Before each session, I ask students to share the topic or area they'd like to cover in advance. This allows me to prepare relevant examples and materials so we can make the most of our time together. Sessions are practical and work-focused, using real-world industry examples to explain concepts rather than purely textbook theory.
Typical lesson length: 45–60 minutes per session.
Qualifications & experience:
I hold a CGMA/ACMA qualification (CIMA, January 2025) and an MSc in Business Management from Dublin City University. I have 3+ years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, FP&A, and finance transformation in a fast-growing SaaS company.
