I use a structured and communicative approach to help students master all four IELTS skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each lesson is designed to focus on one skill at a time, allowing students to fully understand its formats, common question types, and strategies. For example:
Listening: We practice different question types like multiple choice, map labeling, and sentence completion, with real IELTS audio tracks. I teach techniques to identify keywords, predict answers, and manage time effectively.
Reading: I guide students through skimming, scanning, and identifying main ideas, while practicing various question types like True/False/Not Given, matching headings, and multiple choice.
Writing: I cover both Task 1 and Task 2, analyzing sample answers, teaching how to structure essays, use cohesive devices, and express ideas clearly. Students practice planning, drafting, and editing their work.
Speaking: We simulate real test conditions, practice cue cards, fluency exercises, and pronunciation techniques, while building confidence and expanding vocabulary.
A typical lesson plan begins with a short review of previous material, followed by focused practice on the skill of the day, strategies for tackling each question type, and a short feedback session with tips for improvement.
