About Thatso
I am a trained theater performer and university graduate who has found her passion in teaching and inspiring young people.
I have taught children privately, in education centers and in schools from the ages of 4 -12, 14 and 15 - 21. I have taught both drama, school / curriculum based English as well as college and trade specific English. I have taught special educational needs student and tailored my lesson to adapt to students needs. I can help with existing curriculums and homework or you can take advantage of my well prepared resources and lesson plans.

I enjoy using multi-sensory forms of teaching to energize and engage my students, and forming a real rapport with them to ensure effective teaching. I strike a good balance between encouraging independent learning while having a rare gift to identify where the gaps are in my students' understanding. This comes in very handy for my Maths students. I love to see my students reach their potential and surprise themselves and their parents.
I do well with creating my own lesson plans and resources as well as interpreting and following existing curriculums. My drama experience allows me to pay close attention to proper pronunciation, articulation, intonation and the correct use of the creative side of the English language.
I follow the Engage, Study and Activate lesson structure most of the time, but my ability to think fast on my feet allows me to be flexible and tailor a lesson to my students' responses without compromising the objectives of the lesson.
