About Janis
I am a married mother of 2 boys who attend school in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. I love children, education, the great outdoors, walking and hiking, and being in my garden. I also teach Kids Yoga as I love yoga. I love teaching kids.
Life is what you make it and I try to full every day with meaning, which I then hope to impart in my lessons.

I like to use the spoken language a lot, backed up with interesting readings and written exercises. I like to use nice photos and graphics to assist the student and I like to revise lessons as we go along. Perfect.
For me, a great lesson would be an introduction to a theme or a specific grammar tool. Then a reading on that theme, or using that tool, a comprehension or a poem or something I have found that is pertinent to the lesson. Then some questions, some fun activities and a heap of imaginative tasks, setting work to do at home from this.
