About Lisa
I am a teacher, a passionate advocate of children, and someone that poured years of heart and soul into the students that I came in contact with, especially AT-RISK, Special Needs, and those students with discipline and emotional problems. I blended alternative techniques to teach the students to take care of themselves both inside and out. The classroom became a home and a place where we were able to grow individually, become involved in and help out the community. I taught all four core subject to 5th graders and have deep knowledge and experience in Instructional Design and Curriculum. I love to teach others how to begin to love public speaking and educating others in a dynamic and innovative way. In addition to teaching Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts, I ran a Naturalist Club, a Garden Club, and won several awards for my work with the Arbor Day National Society for the preservation of local trees. While teaching I earned my South Carolina Master Natural certification through a joint Clemson program.
