About Janet
Hi! I’m Janet, an experienced elementary educator with 25 years of experience working with young learners. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and I currently teach second grade.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students with a wide range of learning needs and abilities. I’m especially passionate about helping children strengthen their reading, phonics, writing, and comprehension skills while building confidence along the way.
I understand that every child learns differently. I strive to create a patient, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking their time, and celebrating their progress.
As both an educator and a mom, I understand how important it is for families to know their child is receiving caring, individualized support. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them become more confident learners.
I look forward to helping your child grow, one page at a time!

I provide engaging, personalized literacy support for students in grades K–5. Each lesson is tailored to your child’s individual needs and learning style, with a focus on building both academic skills and confidence.
Sessions may include reading comprehension, phonics and fluency, writing skills, spelling, vocabulary, and homework support. I use age-appropriate activities and targeted instruction to help strengthen areas of difficulty while building on your child’s strengths.
My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and becoming more confident, independent learners.
Virtual sessions and limited in-person sessions are available.
