About Mehry
I am deeply passionate about empowering primary school-aged children by providing an educational experience that respects their unique perspectives and innate capabilities.
My approach to teaching STEM subjects and literacy is centred on inclusivity and fun. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable and enriching experience that caters to the individual needs of each child. Through dynamic and interactive lessons, I strive to engage every student, ensuring that the classroom is a place where their ideas can flourish and where they feel valued as experts in their own learning journey.
With over two years of experience in specialised settings, working with children with autism, I have developed a keen ability to tailor learning environments that are supportive and effective for all students. As an experienced educator with a Bachelor in Education and currently undertaking a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, my approach to teaching STEM subjects and literacy is both innovative and supportive. I specialise in inclusive learning, ensuring that each lesson accommodates the unique needs and abilities of all students, with a particular expertise in supporting children with autism.
My teaching methodology focuses on interactive and engaging learning experiences. I utilise a variety of techniques tailored to the developmental stage of each child, incorporating hands-on activities, digital tools, and real-world applications to make learning relevant and exciting. This approach not only fosters a deep understanding of the material but also encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, providing ample time to explore topics thoroughly whilst maintaining the focus and interest of young learners. This duration also allows for individualised attention, ensuring that I can address any specific challenges or questions that students may have.
I offer these lessons to primary school-aged children from Kindergarten to Year 6, catering to a range of abilities and learning styles. My over two years of experience working with children with autism and my educational background equip me with the insights and skills necessary to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
