About Ciara
Hello! I’m an English tutor with over five years of experience as a teaching assistant and three years of specific experience teaching English as a second language. I teach students of all ages and abilities, including learners with SEND, and I’m passionate about making English learning supportive, engaging and personalised to each student.
My approach is patient, collaborative and confidence‑focused. I’m trilingual and have learned a language from scratch myself, so I understand the challenges that come with learning something new. I know how important it is to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and building confidence step by step.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places and learning about different cultures. Meeting people from diverse backgrounds is one of the things I love most about teaching English, and it inspires me to create lessons that are welcoming, encouraging and enjoyable.

Hello! In lessons with me you will learn to speak English confidently. I take a collaborative and personalised approach to teaching, adapting each lesson to the learner’s goals, level and preferred learning style. My methodology is centred on building speaking confidence, helping students feel comfortable using English in real, everyday situations. Lessons typically combine conversation practice with targeted work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening skills.
A lesson is normally 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on your level and needs. I mix structured activities, discussion, creative tasks and practical exercises — all tailored to your learning style.
I have over five years of experience working in education, supporting learners of different ages, abilities and backgrounds. I specialise in teaching English as a second language and hold a 120‑hour TEFL qualification, alongside a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law (English, French and European law). As a trilingual speaker who learned French from scratch, I understand the challenges of language learning first‑hand and bring patience, empathy and encouragement to every lesson.
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you want to improve your conversational English, prepare for studies or work, or simply feel more confident speaking, I aim to make each session supportive, practical and enjoyable.
