Hi, I’m Sarankan — a dedicated and approachable tutor with a degree in Economics and a strong passion for helping students succeed in GCSE Maths. Having studied a subject that heavily relies on mathematical thinking, I understand the challenges students face and how to break concepts down into manageable, easy-to-understand steps. As an economics graduate with a strong mathematical foundation, I focus on helping GCSE students build confidence and master core concepts through a structured, supportive, and engaging approach. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, using real-world examples to make abstract topics more relatable. Whether a student struggles with algebra, geometry, or exam technique, I break down complex ideas into simple steps and provide clear explanations, regular practice, and ongoing feedback. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long, though I can adjust this based on the student’s preference and attention span. Sessions include a mix of teaching, guided practice, and review to ensure students fully understand each topic before moving on. I primarily teach GCSE Maths students aged 13–16, but I also support those preparing for resits or foundation-to-higher transitions. Lessons are available in-person in London or online via Zoom for convenience. Above all, I aim to create a calm, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to improve.
