About Jen
I am an experienced marketing director and brand strategist with a strong background in building, scaling, and leading marketing programs across multiple industries, including consumer packaged goods, eCommerce, health and wellness, and professional services. Over the past decade, I’ve managed full-funnel strategies, developed brand positioning frameworks, led product launches, and guided companies through growth phases ranging from early start-up to national retail distribution. My approach blends both strategy and execution. I not only understand the foundational principles of marketing, but I’ve also applied them daily in fast-moving, high-pressure environments where results matter. This combination allows me to teach marketing in a way that is clear, practical, and grounded in real-world experience. Professionally, I’m known for being detail-oriented, analytical, and highly creative. I enjoy making complex topics easy to understand and helping students develop the confidence to think and problem-solve like marketers. My experience spans everything from consumer psychology and storytelling to digital advertising, email automation, social media, branding, market research, and go-to-market planning. My tutoring approach is built on clarity, practicality, and real-world application. I believe marketing is best learned through hands-on examples, live problem-solving, and understanding not just what to do, but why it works. I teach by breaking complex concepts into simple, repeatable frameworks that students can immediately apply to their own projects, coursework, or business ideas.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
I combine structured instruction with interactive, scenario-based learning. Students work through real marketing challenges—brand positioning, ICP definition, messaging, campaign planning, channel selection, funnel design, and analytics—so they finish each lesson with both knowledge and usable skills. My sessions include:

A Typical Lesson Plan
Most lessons follow a three-part structure tailored to the student:
Concept Foundations
We review the topic (brand strategy, social media, email funnels, CPG marketing, digital strategy, etc.) with simple explanations and clear real-world examples.
Practical Application
We work through a hands-on exercise such as building a persona, outlining a campaign, analyzing messaging, or mapping a customer journey.
Feedback & Next Steps
I give actionable, detailed feedback and assign optional exercises to help reinforce understanding between lessons.
All sessions are customized to the student’s pace, level, and goals.
What Sets Me Apart
I’m not teaching marketing from a textbook. I teach it from experience. As a marketing director and consultant who has worked across CPG, eCommerce, wellness, aesthetics, retail, and early-stage startups, I bring real industry knowledge, real case studies, and real execution strategies. Students learn marketing in the way professionals actually use it—practical, modern, and aligned with today’s trends and platforms.
