About Eugene
Eugene has been teaching music for nearly twenty years. He studied at The University of Western Australia, and the Royal College of Music London (the world's leading music conservatory), after which he pursued a graduate diploma in education. His composition teachers have included Alison Kay, Roger Smalley, and James Ledger. Eugene has taught in schools in Australia and overseas, and has run his own private music studio. During this time he has taught thousands of students of different ages - children and adults - at different levels of experience.

Composition and songwriting lessons are available for both beginners and advanced musicians. Aside from your 45-minute lesson, an after-hours service is available for any questions or issues you have between lessons.
Eugene has taught composition to students of all ages, and specializes in preparing high school students in their creation of a composition portfolio for ATAR music. As a high school music teacher he has assessed composition portfolios for many years and has taught several students who have gone on to study composition at university.
