About Nicholas
I am a college graduate currently on a gap year between university who has 3 years of experience producing orchestral music, reading/writing scores and arrangement/orchestration of my own and others' works, and transcribing music for commissions along with a portfolio to demonstrate my abilities. I compose primarily for film and games and am currently studying for my grade 8 in Music Theory and my grade 5 in piano and violin. I have studied music theory for years, analysing work that inspires me and concepts out of exam requirements o apply in my work and is confident in my ability to structure my knowledge in a way that is enjoyable to learn and easy to memorise and apply in the variety of exercises I use and come up with.

I believe in focusing on concepts and teaching students to apply knowledge in ways that require them to think openly and creatively, allowing them to answer both exam-style questions and ones that are less formally structured. The typical length of my lessons would be 45 min to an hour and the content is more suited for older children.
I have 3 years of experience as a composer/music producer along with an extended diploma in production, a Level 5 in ABRSM Theory and experience in teaching classes of multiple people.
