About Muhammed Elhady
As a Clinical Tutor, I have accumulated substantial experience through various clinical and educational roles that have shaped my teaching style and honed my expertise. My journey began with foundational training in emergency medicine, where I provided direct patient care and handled a range of acute medical scenarios. This experience gave me a strong clinical grounding, particularly in high-pressure situations, which I now bring to my teaching.
Over time, I transitioned into roles focused on medical education. I became particularly involved in instructing clinical instructors themselves, guiding them in effective, research-based teaching methodologies. My work includes organizing and leading courses that leverage simulation-based education, including scenario-based learning, standardized patient sessions, and virtual simulations. I believe these methods are invaluable in equipping students with both technical and interpersonal skills.
Additionally, I have had the privilege of working closely with undergraduate medical students, instructing them in essential clinical skills. These include communication, physical examination, and procedural skills, as well as clinical reasoning. I am particularly proud of my role in delivering specialized resuscitation and trauma courses, such as Advanced Life Support (ALS), European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS), and the European Trauma Course (ETC). Through these programs, I strive to instill a strong foundation in life-saving techniques and decision-making under pressure.
Each of these roles has strengthened my ability to make clinical concepts accessible, practical, and engaging, which I believe is essential in fostering the next generation of capable, compassionate clinicians.
