About Evelyn
I am an Early Childhood Education student with several years of experience supporting young learners in both classroom and tutoring settings. I have worked closely with elementary students on reading, writing, phonics, and math, helping them build strong foundational skills and confidence in their learning. I am patient, encouraging, and adaptable, and I focus on meeting each student where they are academically. I enjoy creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. I take a patient, supportive, and encouraging approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students build confidence as well as academic skills. I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, starting with a quick review of prior knowledge, then introducing new concepts in a simple, step-by-step way, followed by guided practice and independent practice to reinforce learning. I use positive reinforcement and real-life examples to make reading, writing, phonics, and math more understandable and engaging. What sets me apart is my experience working directly in both classroom and tutoring environments with young learners, allowing me to understand different learning styles and behaviors. My lessons are designed for elementary students, including Pre-K through 5th grade, who need support in foundational literacy and math skills or extra academic confidence.

My hourly rate reflects personalized 1:1 tutoring focused on reading, writing, phonics, and elementary math support. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual learning needs, pace, and goals. I provide structured but flexible sessions that include review, guided practice, and skill-building activities to help students gain confidence and understanding.
My pricing includes all lesson planning and instruction. For online sessions, no additional fees are required. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace. A free first session is offered to help students and families determine if my teaching style is the right fit.
