About Sally
My name is Sally Tuplin and I am a British teacher with over 12 years’ valuable experience. I have recently moved back to the UK after spending 9 years teaching in a prestigious, private international school in Geneva, Switzerland. I have a BSc (hons) degree, British PGCE teaching qualification and a TEFL certificate, along with my extensive experience in a classroom. My most recent position was teaching at the British School of Geneva; it was a fantastic opportunity that allowed me to teach children from all around the world. I taught the British Curriculum to children aged 4-11yrs, subjects taught included English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, IT, Music, PE and Art. My favourite part of my job was getting to know the personalities of each child over the year and creating fun and exciting learning opportunities. Due the Covid-19 pandemic I decided it would be sensible to try tutoring online, I have worked for a wonderful company in China teaching English to lots of interesting students of various ages. I also took another position online teaching Primary schools in the UK; this is ongoing, and I am still helping the students catch up on all areas of Maths and English. All my lessons are individually tailored to suit the needs of the student. I like to create a positive relationship, and this enables me to understand what methods are most suitable to encourage and inspire the child’s educational growth. I use my creative skills to make lessons engaging and unique to each child’s needs. On a final note, I am a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated teacher.
