About Isabella
Hi! My name is Isabella, I currently live in London and study psychology. Some of my passions are traveling, leaning new languages and studing about education.
My mom is an English and Spanish teacher in Brazil, so I grew up speaking and listening to those lenguages as well. Futher on, I studied English and Spanish in a formal setting, completing my Cambrige C1 certification in the end of my English course. When I was 16 years old, I started teaching english at a school for kids, teenagers and adults.
A couple years later, my teaching journey continued with private lessons, adding on students intrested on learning portuguese as a second lenguage. That is when I started with freelance translation as well and studied in depth comparative grammar of the three languages.
After starting my degree in psychology I realized I have a big passion for understanding how people learn and how can teachers facilitate that process. Also, living in London and having the oportunity to travel around europe was fundamental on my understanding of the relationship between languge and culture.
That is why having the opportunity to help people learn, comunicate and connect with my native language, as well as better understand its culture gives me sutch purpose and professonal fufillment.

Lessos focus on the students goals and way of learining, thaking anyway from 45 min to 1h 30 min. Grammar, reading, listening, speaking and writing are approached taken the practical use of the language into consideration.
I have experience teaching english and portuguese for english, spanish and portuguese speakers, from all ages and levels. My focus are tennagers or adults that are looking for starting or continuing their portuguese learning journey in a fun and effective way.
Since I am brazilian, that is the accent and culture that will be in the classes, authough resources in european portuguese will be present as well.
