About Dan
I am an openly autistic and ADD researcher, writer and inclusion specialist. I have 18 years of experience working with further education and higher education. I have delivered talks on topics such as the transition between university and employment for autistic people.
I have worked within academic support, and learning support roles.
I have completed a PhD that is focused on the transition of autistic graduates into employment, but this also had some sub-themes such as how autism is viewed and defined.
I am a published author who has written a book around neurodivergence and the creative industries.

My general approach is to use person-centred approaches to help identify targets and plan different routes to get there.
I have a specialism in using quantitative research methods, and interpretive phenomenological approaches to research, and I am experienced in providing an autistic or neurodivergent voice to autism research.
I have a PhD relating to the experiences of autistic graduates going into the creative industries, and M.Ed in relation to learning difficulties and disabilities and a BA in Education and History studies.
Lessons are for any undergraduate or postgraduate who is navigating the move from school to higher education, or is exploring autism or ADD. These sessions can be 30 or 60mins.
