About Babak
I’m a dedicated 3D artist based in the Netherlands with over eight years of experience using Blender as my primary tool. My background in fine arts helps me approach 3D work not just as a technical process but as a creative medium. I’ve worked across industries, from product visualization to stylized environments, always adapting to the specific visual and conceptual needs of each project. Alongside my professional work, I’ve naturally taken on a mentoring role. I’ve supported fellow artists and students in learning 3D tools and workflows in a way that is practical, approachable, and customized to their goals. I focus on making complex processes understandable, whether the student is developing a personal style or working through a technical challenge in their project. I approach tutoring with patience, adaptability, and clear communication. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to understand your progress or any challenges since the last session. Then we dive into a focused topic (like modeling, texturing, lighting, or rendering) using hands-on examples. If you're working on a personal or academic project, we can use your own file as a base and troubleshoot or develop it together. I also include tips on how to structure your workflow, avoid common mistakes, and explore creative possibilities.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my artistic background, generalist approach, and experience developing my own indie game. This allows me to offer insight into integrated workflows, especially connecting Blender with tools like Unreal Engine, and to share practical techniques for game-oriented optimization and asset preparation.
