About Tahmina
I am an experienced A-Level Psychology teacher, Head of Psychology and AQA Examiner at a secondary school in London. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in Psychology and, crucially, understand how to turn their knowledge into strong exam performance. Having taught and examined AQA Psychology, I understand both the classroom and examiner perspective and use this experience to provide focused, supportive and personalised tuition. My goal is to help every student develop the knowledge, exam technique and confidence needed to achieve their full potential.

As an experienced Head of Psychology and AQA Psychology Examiner, I offer specialist AQA A-Level Psychology tuition designed to help students improve both their subject knowledge and, most importantly, their exam performance.
My lessons are highly personalised to each student. I begin by identifying their strengths, weaknesses and current working grade before creating a clear plan based on the areas where they can make the greatest improvement. Whether a student is struggling with understanding difficult topics, Research Methods, application questions, evaluation (AO3), essay structure or exam technique, lessons are tailored specifically to their needs.
A major focus of my teaching is helping students understand exactly what AQA exam questions are asking for and how to turn their knowledge into marks. Through my experience teaching A-Level Psychology and examining for AQA, I have a strong understanding of the assessment objectives, common mistakes students make and what separates stronger responses from weaker ones.
Lessons include a combination of clear teaching, retrieval practice, guided exam questions, model answers and targeted feedback. I particularly focus on developing students' ability to structure high-quality 16-mark essays, construct effective evaluation, tackle application questions and approach Research Methods with confidence.
I currently teach Psychology at a secondary school in London and have extensive experience teaching AQA A-Level Psychology, including leading the subject as Head of Psychology. My experience as an **AQA Examiner** also allows me to bring an examiner's perspective into lessons and teach students how to approach questions strategically.
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate.
My tuition is suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 AQA A-Level Psychology students, from those who are finding the subject difficult and want to build confidence to high-achieving students aiming for A/A grades.
My aim is not simply to help students memorise more Psychology. I want them to understand the subject, become confident in their exam technique and know how to demonstrate their knowledge effectively when it matters.
