About Ruby
Tutoring Experience:
Since 2019, I have been assisting students of all abilities in achieving their desired results. My approach involves making the subject more engaging by incorporating current events, student interests, and my own professional scientific experience. I offer tuition for KS3, KS4, and KS5, and utilise the latest educational strategies and theory. I pay attention to the finer details to ensure that the content is both comprehensible and memorable, using real-world examples and models to provide purpose, clarity, and context to abstract scientific concepts. Over the course of my career, I have developed a wide range of techniques to personalise and modify support for each student.

Hello, I’m Ruby! As a qualified Biology Teacher and Examiner with years of experience, I help students of all abilities build their knowledge, confidence and achieve results.
Tutoring Approach:
During tuition sessions, I closely match my teaching style to my student's learning style, creating a comfortable and relaxed environment that brings out their best. I employ creative learning approaches along with high standards of exam practice to prepare students for upcoming assessments. With my qualifications, experience, and passion for science, I strive to make learning simple, easy, and effective.
I am the founder of rubystuition.com, where I specialise in affordable and effective online tuition for small groups. My friendly GCSE and A-Level groups are available to join, or you can create your own group with friends or family.
Small group lessons are available at a rate of £15 per hour. Each lesson comprises a retrieval practice starter task, topic focus, an interactive task for learning reinforcement, and exam practice.
121 tuition is personalised to match each student's unique learning style, address any areas of concern in a comfortable environment, build confidence, and bring out the best. To cater to your busy schedule, I offer flexible scheduling. Please get in touch to discuss what package you are after and the associated prices.
You can also take advantage of my combined package which includes group lessons and one 121 session per month.
