Experienced and patient Science and Maths Tutor - Biology tutor with Josh

Dear Sir/Madam,
It is a pleasure to act as a referee for Mr. Joshua Simcock who I deem to be excellently suited for a Tutor position. My main interactions with Joshua occurred at the end of the last academic year when he took the specialist final year course Medical Glycobiology which I teach on and he also did his final year laboratory project “Selectin ligand glycoproteomics” under my supervision. During the course I had the opportunity to asses his written work, oral presentation and laboratory practical skills all of which were excellent.
Joshua is a polite, well motivated and highly capable person, who since his arrival at Imperial has consistently impressed myself and other members of staff with his maturity, positive and enthusiastic attitude. From a purely academic perspective Joshua is a very good student with exam and coursework marks giving him a well deserved good 2:1 class honours degree.
Outside of the academic arena Joshua has considerable work experience and participates in several college societies again gaining valuable transferable, organization and management skills. With his clear academic ability, discipline and enthusiastic personality I am happy to recommend Joshua in the strongest possible terms.
