About Katie
I’m an American teacher who has been teaching children ages 4-12 in China from 2018-2022. Since 2022, I’ve been privately tutoring students with a focus on phonics and reading. I’m patient and encouraging. I want all of my students to become skilled readers and to develop a love of reading.

I offer personalized 1:1 lessons that follow the science of reading and allow students to become confident in their reading abilities. I utilize interactive tools and games to help make the lessons more engaging and fun for each student. My lessons are for children who are in kindergarten or elementary school. My lessons are also ESL friendly.
