About Lise
I come back from 4 years in Mexico where I taught French, English and literature in English. I have a degree in English and a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language, so I am trained and experienced in teaching methods. I have taught in a variety of contexts: teenagers, adults, beginners, intermediate and advanced. I taught General English, Tourism and Hospitality, Business English. I prepared students for the baccalaureate of English and Spanish who did very well! I am very familiar with school programs and official exams.

I like to know my student, his hobbies and his tastes, in order to be able to adapt my lessons by choosing supports according to the things he likes, without forgetting the linguistic or grammatical objectives of the course. In general, I just guide the student in his learning, that is to say, he is the one who must search and find out what is the purpose of what we are learning and the rules of grammar, for example. I like to vary the supports: lessons and lessons, online exercises, application of what has been learned by role playing, conversation games, writing exercises with mutual correction, watching videos (movie clips, commercials, excerpts of documentaries, anything that is of interest in relation to what you are learning), guided listening exercises, reading of blogs or articles adapted to the level and the centers of interest of the pupil ; a little song here and there, card games, memo rama, games in lines, to "blow" sometimes. Varying the media in such a way also has a cultural contribution for the student, who also brings me knowledge by making me discover "his world"; depending on his age, he will show me the interests of young people his age, which allows me to stay "on the page".
