About Omolara
Hello! I’m an English Language teacher with a BA in English Language, graduating with Second Class Upper, and a PGDE. Teaching is more than simply explaining rules to me, I enjoy helping learners understand why English works the way it does and giving them the confidence to use it for themselves.
I have experience teaching English Language and Literature to secondary school students, and I have worked with learners who have different abilities, personalities, and learning needs. This has taught me to be patient without being passive, encouraging without lowering standards, and serious about helping my students improve.
In my lessons, you will not just listen to me talk. We will read, discuss, practice, write, make corrections, and work through areas that challenge you. Whether you want to strengthen your grammar, vocabulary, speaking, comprehension, writing, literature, or creative writing, I will meet you at your level and help you move forward.
If English has ever felt confusing, intimidating, or simply difficult to master, you are welcome here. Come with your questions, your mistakes, and your goals. We will work on them together and I will expect you to leave each lesson better than you came.

I don't believe in making English harder than it needs to be. I start by finding out what a learner understands, where they struggle, and what they want to achieve, then build the lesson from there. With a BA in English Language (Second Class Upper), a PGDE, and classroom teaching experience, I use everyday examples, conversation, guided practice, reading and writing activities to make each lesson stick. My sessions are usually 60 minutes and are designed for children, teenagers, and adults at different levels. Whether you need help with grammar, speaking, writing, comprehension, literature or creative writing, expect a lesson where you participate, ask questions, practise, and leave knowing something you didn't know before.
