About Samuel
I’m a History undergraduate at the University of Leeds. I achieved an A* at A-Level and a 9 at GCSE in History, so I have recent, first-hand experience of what exam boards are looking for, and how to help you succeed. Reading History at university has massively broadened my understanding of the discipline, and I am keen to share my passion for the subject, as well as my practised expertise in essay writing, revision, and exam techniques.

I offer tailored GCSE and A Level History lessons to increase exam confidence and success. I can offer in-depth support with essay writing techniques, content study and time management in exams. I can offer support with all exam boards, with a focus on effective revision techniques and maximising marks. Lessons will be based on thorough discussion of the student's needs/requirements, with weekly opportunities for marked work and feedback. Teaching style will be completely tailored to the student and will ensure hand-in-hand support with in-class learning. I also ensure to maintain dialogue via session report with the student/guardian(s) between sessions outlining what we have achieved in session, as well as next steps to progress.

Sam was a fantastic help for my son during his GCSE History. He struggled a lot with time management and maximising marks in essays but Sam had such great advice and techniques hwhich gave him a big confidence boost when it came to exam season. He just got a 9 which was unheard of a year ago! We are so proud, and so grateful for Sam’s tuition. Thank you! ️
I couldn't recommend Samuel enough. Throughout my year of tuition for him I not only found confidence in my Spanish speaking abilities, improving from barely being able to order a coffee to being proficient conversationally, but I began to love the process of learning a language. He is friendly, patient and a natural teacher. A hidden gem!
Sam is a competent and enthusiastic Spanish tutor. His outgoing positive demeanour helps create a strong rapport with his students and encourages question asking in the sessions. As well as this Sam makes an effort with each and every student to tailor the lesson to them specifically. Sam also offers invaluable insights into exam technique, and speaking to Sam in Spanish helps build confidence tremendously. For the reasons listed, you will leave every lesson with Sam with a much greater understanding of the topic and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
