About Ashley
I am a dedicated former teacher with 11 years of experience, having taught 2nd through 10th grade with a strong focus on math. As a certified Florida educator for grades K-9, I hold two master’s degrees—one in Educational Leadership and the other in Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve been known for creating unique, creative, and engaging lessons that make complex math concepts accessible to all students, regardless of their skill level.
My approach to teaching goes beyond just delivering content; I believe that truly understanding the students you teach is key. By building strong relationships and fostering confidence, I help students not only grasp challenging concepts but also develop the resilience to tackle difficult situations. I’m passionate about helping students find joy in learning math and supporting them on their journey to success.

As a former math teacher, with over 10 years of experience in grades 2-10, I specialize in making math fun and less intimidating for students of all skill levels. My lessons are designed to be engaging and creative, breaking down complex concepts into small, bite-sized pieces that we can tackle together. Whether you're struggling with basic skills or advanced topics, I’ll help you gain confidence and understanding in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
A typical lesson plan of mine includes a short introduction of the topic, while the remainder of the time is spent working together so I can guide you through the steps of tackling the topic at hand. We'll focus on helping you create specific steps that you can use to solve each problem once you are on your own. I'll also give you a few problems to try on your own with the skills we've practiced together. And, I'll even send you resources to brush up on your skills in between our lessons if you need them! One thing is for sure, don't expect a boring 30 minute lecture here! We will be actively working together the whole time!
