Experienced Academic Skills or Study Skills Tutor for University Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Students

Katherine is a very knowledgeable and friendly tutor. I have had academic skills support sessions with Katherine for 4 months and met her through my university support system. I went to Katherine as I felt low motivation towards my dissertation and was struggling with my academic writing. Katherine has a very uplifting personality and demeanor, which is comforting and motivational when you are feeling the pressure of your university degree. Specifically, Katherine has helped me with my research project/dissertation. She has helped me improve my academic writing, teaching me to be more succinct, critically evaluate, and write with a purpose. With the help of Katherine, my dissertation writing has greatly improved. She has helped me reach the top bands in the marking criteria of my work helping me target my writing to get the best grade possible! What I have learned from Katherine has been invaluable. We have built an amazing friendship, she really cares about your work and does everything in her power to help you succeed! I cannot recommend Katherine enough!

I cannot recommend Katherine highly enough. She has been my academic tutor through all 3 years of my undergraduate and I’m so excited that she’s setting up privately so I can pester her on my masters that’s at a different university. I couldn’t have made it through university without her support, and I’ve gone on to achieve amazing grades (although she’d tell you that’s all me). She gives individual, constructive criticism based on your assignment or needs to help push your work. She’s amazing at knowing when to give you space to work and just be a supportive presence, and when to step in to help if you’re struggling. Her appointment keeping, organisation, and general manner are amazing. She’s relatable, funny, generous, and so very kind. 12/10 would always book again
