About Yasmin
I am a dedicated, driven and experienced tutor who has achieved a first-class honours bachelors degree in English Language and Literature from King's College London, and a Master's degree in English from the University of Oxford. I am currently completing my PhD at King's College London. My academic record is particularly strong, having achieved A* (English) A* (History) A (Maths) at A Level and 10 A*s at GCSE.
I have 500+ hours of tutoring experience accumulated over the past three years. My foremost strength as a tutor is my ability to help students improve and enhance their exam and coursework technique to boost their grades. I have meticulously read through the OCR, Edexcel and AQA exam specifications (amongst other exam boards) and continue to do so annually as specifications are updated. I have extensive knowledge of what examiners expect from students. I teach all of my English students scansion in poetry, which will help secure top grades in English Language, and my History students to frame a compelling argument according to whether it is a 'How far' or 'What are the factors' question.

Yasmin agreed to teach me how to play Fur Elise on piano, despite my never having any musical experience or inclination. Yasmin was both patient and firm, and really brought the best out of an uncommitted and lazy student such as myself. Yasmin is dedicated to improving the knowledge and skills of her students, and does not allow anything to come between the student and their self-improvement. Yasmin would be in total focus for the entire hour of our sessions, and would elicit a level of concentration and commitment form me I never could have achieved without her.
