About Soeli
My tutoring years enabled me to gain expertise in adapting lessons for individualised curriculum and modification of curriculum to suit Visual impairment learners, neurodiversity students and employing sensory integration techniques, making my own resources and adjusting interactive materials to suit individual requirements, abilities, and needs. Understanding self-regulation, sensory seeking and sensory sensitive needs, planning curriculum activities, addressing and informing Education Health Care Plan and external professionals. Working closely with Special Educational Therapists. As a Makaton user, I helped create an Inclusive community in my previous teaching assistant roles at Local Watford Schools. I apply my expertise in personalised learning and collaboration during singing assembly to promote equal access, confidence, and achievement amongst students.

I have proven experience of being able to develop effective and successful working relationships with school staff, parents and students. I have a strong understanding of the Primary and Secondary School National Curriculum and have tested experience of supporting teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities. I am empathetic and sensitive towards the varied needs of the students I assist, and I am passionate about working towards students becoming independent learners. Experience working with pupils in 1:1 group or in small groups running different therapeutic sessions or in large groups as a classroom cover. Currently studying at Hertfordshire University, I am gaining relevant knowledge which allows me to develop key skills in Record Keeping, Safeguarding, Early Years Developmental Stages and strategies to implement in classroom creating an Inclusive community. Importance of British values and celebrating children's and their families' uniqueness. I have worked in a classroom for 10 years supporting children with different learning abilities and needs, such as, Visual Impairment, and Down Syndrome, Autism, dyslexia, Speech and Language difficulties/delays/selective mutism and Developmental Global Delays. Supported Children with English as a Second language and help lower anxiety in many pupils aiding integration, friendships and bonding. I am committed to supporting students’ diverse needs.
