John was hired by Career Leadership Associates to oversee a top rated Career Leadership Guidance Development, Career Improvement, And Personal Renewal Coaching firm in Denver where he coached and delivered customized programs in career development improvement, leadership guidance, accelerated team ability and awareness, and personal renewal for executives, business owners, mature adults, young adults, and student learners - providing customized consulting and accelerated communication and learning practices to help clients and help associates help their clients solve key career problems and create specific results for companies they worked for or were interviewing with. John developed a wide range of accelerated career realization practices for effective adult and student learning improvement with results, including an accelerated learning process called CAREER TEAMMATE LEADERSHIP GOLD MINING to enable executive guidance leadership clients, working adults, student learners, and his staff discover and “mine” their best career calling teammate leadership abilities in shortened time frames. DIRECTOR OF TREATMENT, STAFF DEVELOPMENT, AND TRAINING FOR DENVER OPPORTUNITY YOUTH CORRECTIONS - Denver, Colorado - John Coals worked for Denver Opportunity Youth Corrections as M.S.W. Director of Treatment, Staff Development and Training, providing clinical and counseling supervision, motivation, coaching, and training for 25 mental health workers and counselors; developing and directing an innovative treatment program for 50 diverse at-risk children and adolescents in 3 separate houses. Because individual and group therapy sessions were conducted under extremely difficult, demanding, and emotionally challenging circumstances, John got his staff together, asked for their help and full commitment, and began intensive training in accelerated therapeutic learning, trauma-stress-emotional violence-and crisis release processes, and therapeutic meditation to enable our adolescents to relax, become calmer, and focus. John was able to inspire and engage a good staff in intensive therapeutic learning skill rehearsals and together create individual and group interactive experiences where each counselor and each adolescent could feel very real caring for his distinctive self and right to develop in his own way and in relation to all our counselors and the other residents in our community. All this greatly helped our adolescents feel, integrate, and grow in the moment. John then wrote a grant which contributed an increase from $600 to $1200 per month per child from the State which was described by the Colorado Department of Social Services as "one of the most innovative proposals and effective treatment programs for young adults, adolescents, and children we've seen in four decades."
