About Dustin
I am a dedicated violin tutor with over 20 years of experience teaching college students. I focus on helping students develop strong technique, musical understanding, and confidence in a supportive learning environment. My teaching style is creative, student-centered, and mentor-based.
I help students build solid fundamentals such as posture, bow movement, finger placement, rhythm accuracy, and tone development. I also guide students in musical expression and performance confidence. I use modern and innovative teaching tools including slow practice methods, recording analysis, guided listening, and structured lesson planning.
These methods help students stay motivated and see consistent progress. I also teach basic music theory and sight-reading in a simple way. Accountability is central to my lessons. I help students set clear practice goals and follow consistent routines.

As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand both technical and musical aspects of violin playing. I explain tone quality, finger accuracy, bow movement, and posture step by step. Students learn to think and improve independently.
