About Erin
For 10 years, I have been helping students experience the joy of playing the flute. I teach school and college students in a positive learning environment where mistakes are treated as opportunities to improve. My teaching approach is based on patience, encouragement, and steady progress.
Students learn breathing techniques, posture, finger movement, rhythm, scales, articulation, tone production, and musical expression in a clear and simple way. One of my proudest achievements has been watching students become independent learners who enjoy practising and performing.
Besides flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and beginner music education. My mission is to help every student build confidence through music.

Music is a wonderful way to express thoughts and emotions. My flute teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students enjoy music while building strong playing skills.
Lessons are personalised to match each student's learning speed and musical interests. Beginners learn breathing, posture, finger coordination, note reading, rhythm, and tone production. Advanced students focus on articulation, scales, dynamics, improvisation, expression, and stage confidence.
I motivate students by recognising every improvement and helping them set achievable learning goals. Communication is always simple and interactive. Integrity helps me create a learning environment based on trust, respect, and fairness.
Creativity keeps lessons fresh through favourite melodies, folk music, rhythm exercises, listening activities, duet performances, improvisation, and performance practice. I also teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, ear training, and rhythm development.
