About Maryem
I am a student who is bilingual in Arabic and English while learning Spanish and Mandarin. I love supporting my school community and within my school’s debating team, and student council. I have a two-year background in teaching students, reading books, helping with homework, and explaining concepts. I am experienced in teaching subjects like English and Mathematics, teaching several students in those fields. Students I worked with started from grades of C- or D but with great work and effort, we were able to score to A- or A by the end of the year. It is all done by hard work, and following the methodology, we create by both the students and me, creating a team focused supportive environment.

My methodology is different depending on the student and their learning style. I have three types of teaching methods depending on the student and the way they learn. The first method is auditory learners would need more verbal explanation, brainstorming activities, verbalising questions, and reading out loud. On the contra, visual learners would need to undergo illustrations, diagrams, handouts, graphs and would then need to be explained, showing a more visual format. The last method is Kinesthetic, indicating that students would need to complete similar questions, activities, creating palm cards, mini-tests, highlight notes and have more hands-on activities. These different methods would be suitable for different types of learners.
