About Midsouth Folk Project
I am a retired teacher, have been playing violin and fiddle for my whole life. I began tutoring online several years ago, and have enjoyed it since. I have had several students advance significantly in their time with me. I have taught beginners and taken them through a book of classical pieces, and have taught old-time fiddle tunes piecemeal to a student as well.

I like to use the Suzuki method to teach classical violin to beginners. For advanced students, we can use the approach of learning arpeggios and scales for improvisation, or learn any tune you want.
Old-time fiddle and bluegrass as well.
